Maroon 5 - Sunday Morning

Have a great Sunday guys.
It's a grey morning here in Barcelona, and here is a nice song to suit the mood.

Time to Dance

I'm in the club with my friends,
I won't be leaving until this party Ends,
The beats are playing from the ceiling to the floor,
The vibrations through my body make me want more.

We have to dance no matter what,
salsa, jazz, or my favourite hip hop.
You got to move to take it all out,
That is what Friday nights are all about.
Getting ready, feeling hot and looking your best
When Sunday comes that's when you can rest,
Get those heels on, its only one night.
but if you don't know how to walk in them then pumps are alright.

We see the boys, they are looking at us,
We send the cheeky smile over with no fuss.
There is no point in being so rude,
They were brave, it's not their fault your not in the mood,
Just dance with your friends until the night ends.

To the boys in the corner, looking at how we move,
Get up from your seats and get into the groove.
If you want to have a chance,
You have to go onto the dancefloor
and prove to me that you can dance.

Dancing is very important in life,
it releases the weekly tensions and strife.
So if you are a boy or a girl,
It doesn't matter you should all give it a whirl.

Don't hang in the park and get high and drunk,
Go to the bar dapper and get into the funk.
You can dance in the street or in your room,
in the club, park or in the bathroom.

It doesn't matter where,
As long as you can move and whip that hair,
grab your friends and dance to the beat.
The night has to end with you on your feet.

Unbelievable Tupac Hologram Live At Coachella

This doesnt need an introduction really...

It is almost unbelievable where technology has taken us, I used to see these things occur in Sci Fi films of a future that seemed a lot further that it really is, now it is happening at a music festival. I felt a mix of emotions, sadness, happiness and weirdness to see Tupac "perform" one last time.
Also must of been great for Snoop to be able to perform with his friend in front of thousands years later in very different circumstances.
Amazing and a memorable moment.

Amy Winehouse and Dionne Bromfield - Love Is A Losing Game (w/ lyrics)

I really love this video combination of two great British soul artists. Their unique way of hypnotising you through their voices and music leaves something inside you. Hope this style of music along with other great British artists continue to flourish and leave us with a sense of meaning and deepness in our souls.

Michael Jackson - Thriller

Its that time of year, where we dress up, go trick or treating and celebrate those who have departed from our lives....

Happy Halloween and Happy All souls day.

And if you don't celebrate either, then just enjoy our fave singer with one of the greatest videos ever!!

Noisia - Split The Atom (Album out now)

This must be my track of the month, maybe it will be on my playlist until the end of the year but my love will kill me though as this is more his style of music and now I am rinsing it hard, but I really love this. It gets me in a really active mood. Either when I am about to cook Ill have this on top notch or the most common situation is whenever I am driving alone in my car.
From a distance you will hear me coming, as this is the track thats on repeat and on full blast, then again, its better than the B.E.P's, better i gave them a rest.

It's a pumping tune that just makes me want to jump around!!

Willow - Whip My Hair - Video Version

This week I have had this song as my track of the week, listening to it while being on the move and just it just gives me a happy feel.
This is Willow Smith, Will Smith and Jada Pinketts little daughter, she is only 9 but sounds a mix between Rihanna and Nicki Manij. She is good but I do hope she doesn't get exploited too quickly. She must get protected, but seeing her video see's her like a pro. Love the Missy Elliot style in the vid and all those colours!!

Lets WHIP IT!

Music makes the difference to anything we do, music is the soundtrack to our lives...

Since I emigrated out of the country and moved to a small village, I have found it difficult to adapt to the culture and rhythm of the lifestyle. Time has flown by and I finally know my way round, know the local faces and I made my own routine according to my lifestyle.

I got a new job here which was great, as it meant I could get out more and be more involved socially, even if it is in a minor way.

I would leave my house everyday at three thirty in the afternoon and the streets would be empty.
It was like being in a film where the World has come to a standstill and there is no other life on the planet but my own.
My imagination would run deep and I would create crazy scenarios in my head, but after a week of creating scenarios the creativity and imagination left.

Then one day my boyfriend gave me my headphones and my MP3 player! It had been a while since I had even thought of them. In my old routine I would put the headphones on any chance I could get; on my way to work, whilst I was cleaning, or even when I attempted a jog around the block. But while I was so caught in the move and the new life I had, I forgot about one very important element to keep me going....My Music, my soundtrack, my life and world.

Yesterday was the first time in eight months that I had heard my MP3 player. I have obviously heard music throughout this time, but when you have your headphones on it changes everything. It all becomes a bit more personal. It becomes your soundtrack.

We all need to listen to music to help or suit our mood. When we are down we may want to listen to hard rock, or soppy love songs. When we are on a mission, like going to work we want something PUMPING! I have noticed music isn't so popular here, maybe people don't bother with the short distances, there seems to be no point, but if I can manage to stick 4 minutes of base or rhythm in my body and soul then I definitly think it is worth it.

In the end....

....Music makes the difference to anything we do, music is the soundtrack to our lives...

Original! yo tengo un novio(toma que toma)

For the past few days I have been in Seville roasting away. So what more appropriate song than......AI que calor que tengo....

Renato Carosone - Tu Vuò Fa' L'Americano

It is funny that just as I have moved to Italy (6 months now). I go to Spain for a small holiday and find out that this song has become a huge house tune in the clubs.
I have posted the original version as this is the version I heard for the first time.
My friend from the South of Italy who sings and plays the guitar sung this for me and stuck in my head. So when I went to the club and heard the new version I was very surprised and said this has to be my Italy song....

The Guitarist Duo - (Mozart)

I saw this video and thought it was truly amazing. These guys must have practised a lot to get this to sound perfect.
