Thoughts in words, poetry and ideas.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things - T.S.Elliot

Poetry is what in a poem makes you laugh, cry, prickle, be silent, makes your toe nails twinkle, makes you want to do this or that or nothing, makes you know that you are alone in the unknown world, that your bliss and suffering is forever shared and forever all your own. ― Dylan Thomas

I have always been fond of writing, I think from when I started to write, which was many years ago.

From a very young age I would write princess stories and write lyrics to my own songs. It was my escapism. I was never the type to play with dolls or colour in, I was more of the imaginative type, creating my own World and writing as I went along.
I wouldn't say I'm a good writer, as I have always had problems with grammar and comprehension, maybe because I was brought up bilingual and they say the first child of a Bilingual family is the one that struggles the most. I don't know how much of that fact is true, but its good enough for me.
Sitting infront of the Vatican (2013) overwhelmed and feeling the need to write.

On my blog I have shared only a fraction of the poems I have written. I like to class them as "Urban Poetry" as I relate them to everyday occurences and I don't know how else to describe it as it isn't your typical beautiful poetry. Some of it may seem like a typical teenager writer (as I was a teen when I wrote some of them). Other poems rhyme like a song or rap, (I wish I was the female Eminem).  All these poems are tagged as "Poetry" and I will be adding old and new poems.

Just before I begin to write almost anything, the process before in my mind is a lot more interesting and creative, I sometimes lay in bed with amazing stories and interesting articles to write about it but then I try to write it on paper and I usually find it hard to express myself properly.

Hopefully, whoever does read this know that I try to use humour and give a sense of fun. I may touch certain issues that may sound offensive but I am not trying to be like that in any way. We all need to get things off our chest and for me, this is one way of doing it.
